How are our doors delivered?

At Grand Entry Doors, we take shipping seriously! When you choose Grand Entry Doors, you're getting more than just a door—you’re getting peace of mind knowing your investment is protected from the moment it leaves our facility to when it arrives at your doorstep. Quality starts with the details, and that includes how we ship! Every door we ship is fully crated in a custom-built wooden crate to ensure it arrives at your home or job site in perfect condition.

✅ Before crating, each door undergoes a thorough quality control inspection to ensure proper fit, consistent reveals around the door, and smooth functionality. This ensures that every door meets our high standards before being prepared for shipping.
✅ Each component is carefully wrapped and braced inside the crate for maximum protection.
✅ For double doors, each door slab is individually wrapped, and the frame is securely wrapped and braced.
✅ Our packaging method results in an extremely low damage rate for doors shipped nationwide.
✅ In addition to our secure packaging, our doors are shipped insured.

🚫 How Our Competitors Ship 🚫
Many competitors ship their doors with "knock-down frames," meaning the frame comes unassembled and requires the customer to put it together onsite. Some often just wrap their door units in cardboard and place them on a pallet, exposing them to damage during transit. This leads to higher risks of misalignment, damage, and frustration for the installer.

💡 Why Does This Matter?
A fully assembled, crated door ensures:
🔹 Easier installation – no frame assembly required.
🔹 Superior protection – avoiding costly damage.
🔹 Better fit & function – preserving factory precision.

Shipping and Delivery Information
Our doors are carefully packaged and shipped via ground service through a common carrier (LTL) using a secure crate system designed to protect them during transit. Large items, including door units, are delivered to a local freight terminal. Once your shipment arrives, the carrier will contact you to schedule a convenient delivery appointment. Deliveries typically occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Upon shipment, we will provide you with the carrier’s name, contact information, and a tracking number for your convenience.

All deliveries include curbside service with lift-gate and pallet jack assistance. Curbside delivery means the driver will deliver the door(s) to the end of your driveway or the closest accessible curb. Please note that this service does not include unpacking, assembly, or removal of packaging materials.

In most cases, the delivery truck will arrive within your scheduled appointment window and position the shipment at the curb. From that point, it is the customer's responsibility to unload the items and transport them to their desired location. Our door units are substantial in weight, so we recommend having at least two people present at the time of delivery to assist with unloading.

While lift-gate service is included, please be aware that some larger doors may exceed the lift-gate’s weight or size capacity. In such instances, customers are responsible for safely unloading the doors directly from the truck. Drivers may offer assistance at their discretion, but they are not obligated to do so.
