In-stock doors show a shipping lead time of X# of weeks. If in-stock, why can't it ship faster?

When a door shows as in-stock, that means that all of the components for the door are in stock (the slabs, the framing material, etc.). Because of the number of available options (door swing, hinge color, glass, etc.) as well as the size of a completed unit it is not possible to stock them completely assembled. As such, each door is fabricated (framed and hung) just prior to shipping. Additionally, each completed door unit has to be crated in a secure crate prior to shipping which must also be assembled. The lead time quoted for each door is accurate as of the date shown. Of course there can be unexpected delays, but that will be communicated with you should any delays occur.
